PROVEN PROCESS. VERIFIED PURITY.
Every batch of Bed-o’Cobs® undergoes a precise heat treatment process—typically 20–25 minutes at inlet temperatures of 600–800°F and outlet temperatures of 115–165°F. This controlled treatment produces a bedding that is clean, dry, and safe for research animals.
To ensure ongoing product integrity, we conduct monthly third-party testing through NPAL for:
- Bioburden
- Heavy metals
- Pesticide residue
These tests are performed using the same strict tolerance levels required for animal feed. In addition, annual testing since 1977 demonstrates our long-term commitment to quality assurance and transparency.
